Midland Games offer traditional skittle alley hire. Everybody enjoys bowling and portable skittle alley hire provides an excellent form of entertainment for all occasions. 

We provide skittle alleys for corporate event hire, for schools and universities,  churches, weddings, to golf and other sports organisations, pubs and social clubs, residential/care homes, private parties and numerous charities, childrens parties and social groups.

Whats Included as Standard with Skittle Alley Hire

All skittle alleys for hire are manufactured by our company and are suitable for ages 4 upwards, so everybody can join in bowling. We can supply one, two or several skittle alleys for hire depending upon your requirements, time and space available.

We will deliver, set up and collect the skittle alleys from your venue. Unfortunately we are unable to provide skittle alleys for outdoor hire. (unless sited in a substantial marquee.)

Skittle alleys are available for hire as stand alone items, as part of a pub theme games package or together with traditional games.   

Each skittle alley comes with 9 Glamorgan skittle pins and 3 bowling balls. The skittle alleys incorporate one fixed side and a ball return gulley on the opposite side, together with a catch box and foam back cushion. This enables the balls to be returned safely and reduces the volume of noise whilst bowling.  

We can also supply risk assessments (where requested), scoresheets, skittle rules and operating instructions, fundraising information (where relevant) and a bowling demonstration. 

We offer two sizes of bowling alleys for hire at 21ft and 27ft. Our alleys can be used by persons of all ages (from 4 upwards) and abilities, including disabled and special needs. We recommend, ideally, a maximum of 30/40 persons bowling per skittle alley. Where the numbers of bowlers exceeds this number we recommend the hire of additional skittle alleys. If this is not possible (ie due to lack of space) we can still supply a single skittle alley but the participants will have fewer turns.

The object of skittles is very similar to ten pin bowling. The skittles are placed on the last section of the skittles alley, where marked, and each player has two or three attempts to knock as many skittles down as possible. We supply three bowling balls, but two can be used if prefered. Skittles can be played individually or in teams.

We deliver throughout the UK and have supplied skittle alleys for all types of corporate event hire including team building exercises, birthdays and retirement functions, many Christmas parties, exhibitions and open days. We can deliver and set up at your company premises/offices or at an independent venue ie an hotel , village hall or function room. Our skittle alleys have been built to fit in all commercial premises..

Skittle Alley Hire for Schools and Universities

We deliver  skittle alleys to numerous schools and universities in the West Midlands and throughout the UK for various occasions including staff retirement parties, Christmas parties, end of term/leaving parties, university balls, student reward days and PTA fundraising events. We can set up your skittle alleys in a main hall or a  classroom. Park School Walsall, Warwick University, Sibford School Oxford and Coventry University are some of our previous customers.

Church and Community Groups

We can deliver to your church hall or community centre. Skittle alleys are extremely popular with church groups as they are suitable for all ages and abilities.Previous customers include the Champions Church Dudley, Solihull Scouts, Church Lane Evangelical Church Stafford, Little Witley Village Hall Worcester and Admaston Community Centre Telford.

Skittle alleys are ideal for birthday parties, anniversaries and other celebrations. Hire the local village hall, community centre or a function room at a local hotel or club and we can deliver to the venue.

Care & Residential Homes  Sheltered Housing   Childrens Centres

As our skittle alleys can be used by all ages and abilities and have been designed to fit in to most places they are ideal for the above. We can also provide a bowling aid for wheelchair users free of charge. Skittle Alley Hire and Traditional Games Packages

We recommend about 30/40 persons per bowling alley. As an alternative to supplying additional bowling alleys for hire, we can supply an additional games package as an add on hire. Choose from bagatelle, shove halfpenny, quoits, shut the box and rollerball. A games package is ideal where the venue can only accomodate one skittle alley as it provides entertainment for those waiting to bowl or who may not wish to bowl. 

Indoor Games Packages

Hire a skittle alley, as part of a games package. Choose from crazy golf, traditional games, garden games, giant inflatable dart board, traditional dartboard and stand, air racer challenge, beat the bleep, giant buzz wire, soft archery and football shoot out.

Bowling Alley Hire Dimensions and Space Required

Our skittle alleys are designed and built to fit into majority of venues and are adjustable so that the size can be reduced if space is limited. The other advantage of this feature is that additional skittle alleys can be accommodated enabling more people to enjoy bowling. 

27ft Bowling Alley Hire - space required  32ft length and 5ft width approx.

We will need some idea of the approximate distance from our vehicle to where the skittle alley/s are to be set up. It is important that we are made aware of any excessive walking distances, whether there are any steps or lifts and on what floor the set up area is.
